Awards & Recognition

Objective

Achievers’ World honour and celebrate the outstanding achievements of professionals of Indian origin from around the world. Whether based in India or overseas, Indians who contribute to the country’s global goodwill through their professional or personal accomplishments truly deserve recognition. Indians from different walks of life bring unique perspectives and exceptional capabilities to excel in this highly demanding and evolving industry; shaping organization, society and nation as a whole. These individuals consistently deliver outstanding results, inspire teams, create a strong culture, develop new products, services, or processes edging competitive advantages, propelling their businesses or organisations they’re working in to prosper.

Individuals who give back to society through education, healthcare, or sustainability initiatives don’t merely seek personal success but aspire to elevate India’s global image.A defining strength of Indian professionals is their ability to excel at building sustainable businesses with limited resources. India has over 63 million MSMEs, contributing nearly 30% of the GDP and providing employment to over 110 million people. These businesses often start with minimal capital and limited infrastructure, yet grow sustainably through hard work, adaptability, and frugal innovation. The concept of jugaad is a hallmark of Indian entrepreneurship. Indians continue to hold the apex of academic excellence. Artists, writers, and performers carry Indian culture to international platforms with pride. Everyday heroes step up as educators, health workers, and activists, dedicate themselves to transforming communities through selfless service.

Often, these “Achievers” aren’t provided with the right platform to share their stories and Achievers’ World is committed to bridging that gap by recognizing and amplifying these voices. Through prestigious accolades such as the 40UnderForty Award, Women Icon Award, Mahatma Gandhi Samman, Achievers’ World Excellence Awards and others, we shine a spotlight on those who lead with purpose and inspire with impact.

Evaluation & Selection Process

The selection process for awards mechanism comprises the following 3-stage selection process, managed exclusively by an independent third-party media/research agency, composed of industry experts and thought leaders, who assess the disruptive influence, business scalability, differentiation in offerings, and the key decisions that have shaped their success.

STAGE 1: FILTRATION PHASE

At the first stage, the third-party agency thoroughly verifies the authenticity and credibility of the information provided in each nomination. Only those entries that pass this scrutiny move forward to the next stage.

STAGE 2: EVALUATION PHASE

Here, the nominee’s past achievements, accolades, and future objectives are carefully  assessed against pre-defined eligibility criteria. If the nomination does not meet the criteria set forth for the Award, it may be rejected.

STAGE 3: SELECTION PHASE

In this final phase of selection, the agency meticulously evaluates the overall merit of all eligible nominees against other candidates. At this stage, the agency may request additional documentation or interviews for further cross check provided in the nomination. Nominees failing to pass this stage are declined here.

The agency places higher weight on the following factors rather than solely considering commercial profits:

  • The uniqueness and sustained excellence of the nominee’s work
  • Innovation and measurable impact of the nominee’s contributions
  • Recognition from reputed industry bodies, media, or trade organizations
  • Involvement in social or public service initiatives

Once all levels of assessment are complete, the agency forwards eligible nominations for final consideration.

DISCRETION: Final discretion about the selection or revocation of nomination for the award lies with the Selection Committee of the research agency.  If, at any stage of the award process, any information is found to be false or misleading, the nomination or award will be immediately revoked.
