Dr. Kulvinder Kochar Kaur is the Scientific Director of the Dr. Kulvinder Kaur Centre for Human Reproduction, Jalandhar, Punjab, India, where she manages complicated cases of infertility. She graduated from LHMC, Delhi, in 1980, topping in Medicine across all three medical colleges, thereby receiving the R. Viswanathan Prize and the Dr. Devi Chand Gold Medal from President Venkataraman and the late Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi, respectively. Prior to this, she also topped in all MBBS subjects, including Anatomy, Pathology, and Biochemistry, which made her fundamentals exceptionally strong. Later, during her MD training, she managed the Endocrine Clinic at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
She chose the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology because it allowed her to pursue both surgery and medicine, supported by her strong foundation in reproductive endocrinology. Subsequently, while working in Saudi Arabia, she reported the 40th world case of hydrometrocolpos. During this time, Prof. B.O. Osinusi made her realize her immense capabilities and encouraged her with the belief that, with her insight, the sky was the limit.
Unfortunately, she later suffered a stroke, which resulted in the loss of her surgical acumen that she had spent years perfecting. However, she took this adversity positively and turned towards the field of research, driven by her passion for all branches of medicine. Since then, she has been working extensively in the field of neuroendocrinology of obesity, insulin resistance (IR), type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and its complications, including diabetic kidney disease (DKD), coronary artery disease (CAD), and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). She has focused on their treatment without resorting to surgery, recommending a concept of Three-Dimensional Healthcare (3DHC), including Rajyoga Meditation (RYM).
Dr. Kaur has more than 500 publications, mostly international, to her credit. Apart from her core field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she has practiced as a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist and has performed IVF, IUI, and ICSI procedures. Due to health reasons, she is now primarily pursuing research across multiple branches of medicine, including cardiology and neurology, in addition to her core specialty. Her work also addresses amenorrhea, PCOS, pregnancy with heart disease, heart failure, hepatitis C virus (HCV), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), human papillomavirus (HPV) in cervical and throat cancers, and neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs). She is particularly focused on the role of gut microbiota (GM) in the generation of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and ALS, as well as in cancer prevention and therapy.
Beyond her basic specialty, she is presently working on advancing non-operative Three-Dimensional Healthcare (3DHC), including Rajyoga Meditation therapy. According to her approach, negative thoughts influence the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), leading to ACTH release and increased cortisol, adrenaline, and noradrenaline levels. Escalated stress caused by internal and external pressures contributes to the development of coronary artery disease (CAD), heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity, and cancer.
Through her integrated approach combining medicine, research, and spirituality, she believes that, with God’s cooperation, it is possible to heal and transform human health comprehensively.
