On 6th December 2016, Moscow played host to a landmark international gathering—the Eurasian Economic Congress and Indian Russian Business Dialogue—bringing together influential voices from across Eurasia to foster cross-border collaboration, strategic dialogue, and economic engagement. The event served as a dynamic platform for strengthening bilateral and multilateral ties between India, Russia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The Congress witnessed an impressive turnout of over 500 business delegates from India and CIS countries, reflecting the growing momentum toward deeper economic integration and shared development goals. The presence of senior representatives from government, industry, and diplomacy reinforced the event’s stature as a premier forum for international cooperation.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Sergei Cheryomin, Minister in the Moscow City Government and Chairman of the Board of the Business Council for Cooperation with the Republic of India. His address underscored the strategic importance of Indo-Russian relations and the mutual commitment to expanding bilateral trade and investment. Also in attendance were H.E. Mr. D.B. Venkatesh Varma, Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation, and Dr. S.M. Saiful Hoque, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Russia, both of whom emphasized the role of diplomacy in enabling sustainable business partnerships.

Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Sammy Kotwani, President of the Indian Business Alliance; Mr. Oleg Prozorov, CEO and Director General of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia; and Mr. Alexei Pilko, Director of the Eurasian Communication Center. The editorial leadership of Achievers World was represented by Mr. Harish Chandra, Chief Editor, who played a pivotal role in curating the event’s agenda and outreach.

A highlight of the Congress was the presentation of the Achievers World Leadership Awards and Brand Impact Awards, which honored outstanding individuals and organizations for their contributions across diverse sectors. These accolades celebrated innovation, leadership, and brand excellence, reinforcing the magazine’s commitment to spotlighting global achievers.
