Dr. Sudhir Chopra has taught almost all branches of international law. He has taught at California, Cambridge, and Delhi Universities. He was a legal advisor, in the US, for the defense of Union Carbide. Dr. Chopra’s public service for Indian and United States governments is noteworthy. He helped Dr. S.Z. Qasim, in shaping India’s new Antarctic policy. At the UN he assisted Ambassador Arvid Pardo during UNCLOS III negotiations. His publications on Animal Rights are considered canonical and taught all over the world in many disciplines. His work is now referred to advance Amartya Sen’s capability approach.
